Doing business in Libya

Date: Thursday, June 26th, 2008
Venue: The Deloitte Academy, 1 Stonecutter Street, London EC4A 4TR

Since the lifting of sanctions, interest in Libya’s upstream oil and gas sector has increased significantly.  The country has attracted an array of international oil companies; both arriving for the first time and returning to pre-sanction concessions. Libya’s petroleum reserves are among the largest in Africa with substantial potential.  As the sanctions restricted the world’s largest oil companies and contractors from entering the country, the region is relatively under explored.  The Libyan government is now encouraging international investment, however, operations are not without their challenges.

With this in mind, we invite you to attend our seminar during which we will discuss key issues relating to participating in this oil and gas sector.
