Financing LNG projects, a Russian perspective
Yuri Birchenko and Giles Clifton recently produced an article focusing on the peculiarities of LNG project financing from a Russian perspective. The article explores how the use of LNG technologies could liberate the 24 tcm (850 tcf) of recoverable reserves that are estimated to be present on the Russian Continental Shelf by considering the following issues:
- What are the main risks and who takes them?
- How are projects structured?
- Who provides the money?

The changing face of the North Sea – a UK perspective
An article written by Rhydian Williams, examining the current interest in the 23rd Licensing Round, was recently produced for EyeforEnergy's
North Sea Strategy & Finance 2005 Conference
The article explores whether the UK 23rd Licensing Round results are an indication of the way of things to come on the UKCS and the changing face of upstream oil and gas exploration in the mature North Sea province.
The 23rd Licensing Round continues the success of earlier rounds and cements the North Sea as an attractive prospect for the modern junior independent, together with established independents and majors alike.
