ESRI's ArcGIS is used widely within the upstream oil and gas industry; in fact, we use it to deliver PetroView to our clients.

The two day course programme provides an introduction to the ArcGIS desktop suite, starting with the fundamentals of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Our course leaders, who are technical experts in this field, have designed the course objectives to help you to get the most out of ArcGIS's powerful feature set, including how to: create, import, analyse, present and export data.

Key concepts are demonstrated with practical examples and case studies based on a diverse sample dataset of oil and gas data. Using this material we will help you learn advanced techniques such as consolidating disparate datasets into a geo-database and cartographic techniques to effectively present the results of spatial analysis.

All course materials, including data and laptops, will be provided. Please review the course logistics for further details.
